Atlanta Wedding Venues: Rhodes Hall, Summerour Studio and 12 More Compared

Fourteen Atlanta wedding venues with Google ratings, from Rhodes Hall and the Wimbish House to Summerour Studio and Guardian Works, with monthly sunset times.

October 14, 2026

Atlanta's wedding venues read like a history of the city. There are the old Peachtree and Buckhead houses, the factories and warehouses on the west side that have been turned into event spaces, the rooms built to look at the Midtown skyline, and then the farms and gardens that start once you are past the Perimeter. Each type films differently. Here are fourteen that couples ask us about, with the light for every month and what we plan for at each.

The light in Atlanta

Computed for the 15th of each month in 2027. Atlanta sits near the western edge of the Eastern time zone, which is why its summer sunsets are so late: close to 8:50 in June.

November2:49 PM4:58 PM5:34 PM10.4 h
December2:45 PM4:52 PM5:30 PM9.9 h

The start column is sunset minus two hours and forty-five minutes. Atlanta is a city of tall trees, and a venue ringed by them loses direct sun well before the sunset time. Under a canopy we treat golden hour as starting ten or fifteen minutes earlier than the table says.

The old houses

Rhodes Hall is the one with the nickname, the Castle on Peachtree, and it looks the part: a turn-of-the-century residence that is now a museum and event space. Period interiors are beautiful on camera and hard on sound. Speeches inside a room like that ring, so we record from the venue or DJ system and keep a separate recorder at the microphone. The exterior is the portrait, and in summer, with a sunset near 8:50, there is time for it after dinner.

The Wimbish House in Midtown and The Estate in Buckhead are the other two city mansions. The Estate has both gardens and a ballroom. If the ceremony is in the garden, we would hold it at the table's start time and keep the ballroom for everything after dark. Stanley House in Marietta is the suburban version: a nineteenth-century house that also runs as an inn, so ask whether getting ready can happen on site. If it can, there is no drive between rooms, and that saves coverage hours.

Converted spaces

Atlanta's west side has some of the best rooms in the country for a filmmaker, and some of the most demanding. Blue Mark Studios is a renovated church more than a century old with a gallery inside. Church proportions mean height, and height means the room fills with soft light when the windows do their work in the afternoon. Guardian Works is a converted factory with brick and high ceilings, plus a patio. The Westside Warehouse is described as bright, with both indoor and outdoor space.

What they share: brick and concrete look rich when they are lit and flat when they are not. Once the windows go dark, an industrial room is only as good as its lighting, so we ask early about string lights and uplighting and bring our own for the first dance and toasts. Hard surfaces and high ceilings also mean echo, which is the second reason we never rely on a camera mic for speeches.

Summerour Studio sits between the two groups: a Tuscan-inspired courtyard with skyline views and warm interiors. The courtyard is a natural ceremony site, and in the evening the skyline behind it is the shot couples remember.

Skyline rooms

Ventanas downtown has floor-to-ceiling windows and a rooftop. The Piedmont Room overlooks Piedmont Park and the Midtown skyline. Both are at their best in the last half hour before sunset and the first twenty minutes after, when the city lights come on against a sky that still has colour. We schedule a five-minute window for that on the night. On a rooftop, wind and street noise are the things to plan around; a lavalier on whoever is speaking fixes most of it.

Gardens and outside the city

Cator Woolford Gardens and Huntcliff River Club are listed as an event venue and a dedicated wedding venue; their pages have the details. Further out, West Milford Farm in Cumming carries one of the highest ratings on this list, and The Overlook at KC Bison Ranch in Dahlonega puts you in the north Georgia hills. Out there, open sky changes the plan. An outdoor ceremony in an Atlanta summer means heat and humidity, and summer afternoon thunderstorms are common across the region, so the rain location matters. In the hills, any ridge to the west will take the sun earlier than the table says.

There is no travel fee for any of them, including Dahlonega.

What we would do

An October wedding at Summerour Studio: ceremony at 4:18 in the courtyard, family photos at 4:55, cocktail hour, then the two of you out at 6:30 for golden hour and the skyline as the 7:03 sunset fades. A June wedding at Guardian Works: getting ready from 1:30, first look at 4:30, ceremony at 6:04, portraits on the patio at 8:12, and the 8:49 sunset during dinner, with lighting set up inside before it gets dark. The June day runs eight hours, which is The Reverie, our most popular film collection, with drone footage of the venue included.

Every venue above has its own page with that spot's sunset, and the full Atlanta table is on our Atlanta wedding videographer page. Pricing is the same everywhere, and a $500 deposit reserves your date.
