Phoenix Wedding Venues: Wrigley Mansion, The Farm and 12 More, Sunset Timed
Fourteen Phoenix, Scottsdale and Mesa wedding venues with Google ratings, from Geordie's at Wrigley Mansion to Boojum Tree Hidden Gardens, with 2027 sunsets.
October 14, 2026
Phoenix is a city where the venue and the clock have to be chosen together. A garden ceremony that is lovely at 5 PM in March is punishing at 5 PM in July, and the same patio that glows at sunset in November is dark by half past five. So this list of fourteen Valley venues comes with the light for every month and a note on what each kind of place asks of a film crew.
The light in Phoenix
Computed for the 15th of each month in 2027. Arizona does not observe daylight saving time, so unlike almost everywhere else in the country there is no sudden jump in March or November; the times drift smoothly through the year. The ceremony start is sunset minus 2 hours 45 minutes, which leaves room for the ceremony, family photos and cocktail hour before golden-hour portraits.
| Month | Start ceremony | Golden hour | Sunset | Daylight |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| January | 2:58 PM | 5:06 PM | 5:43 PM | 10.2 h |
| February | 3:27 PM | 5:38 PM | 6:12 PM | 11.0 h |
| March | 3:51 PM | 6:03 PM | 6:36 PM | 12.0 h |
| April | 4:14 PM | 6:25 PM | 6:59 PM | 13.0 h |
| May | 4:36 PM | 6:46 PM | 7:21 PM | 13.9 h |
| June | 4:54 PM | 7:03 PM | 7:39 PM | 14.4 h |
| July | 4:53 PM | 7:02 PM | 7:38 PM | 14.2 h |
| August | 4:29 PM | 6:40 PM | 7:14 PM | 13.4 h |
| September | 3:49 PM | 6:02 PM | 6:34 PM | 12.4 h |
| October | 3:09 PM | 5:21 PM | 5:54 PM | 11.4 h |
| November | 2:40 PM | 4:49 PM | 5:25 PM | 10.4 h |
| December | 2:36 PM | 4:44 PM | 5:21 PM | 10.0 h |
In the hottest months we often push an outdoor ceremony later than the table suggests, into open shade, and accept a shorter golden hour in exchange for guests who are not wilting. The mountains around the Valley matter too: a venue tucked against one can lose direct sun before the listed sunset.

Historic Phoenix
Geordie's at Wrigley Mansion is the name most couples arrive with: an Italianate mansion built by William Wrigley Jr. in 1929. The Teapot is the small, sweet opposite, a 1906 cottage that doubles as a coffee spot and event venue. Croft Downtown brings the romance into the middle of the city.
The resorts
Scottsdale's resorts are where a lot of destination weddings land. The Phoenician and Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale can keep guests, dinner and the celebration on one property, which takes the driving out of the day. For a film, that matters: no travel blocks in the timeline means more of the hours you book go to the wedding.
Gardens and green space
Boojum Tree Hidden Gardens is lush, with water features and warm evening lighting. Secret Garden offers a classic garden setting with an all-inclusive approach. The Farm at South Mountain is a farm setting with tree-shaded tables, and shade in Phoenix is worth a great deal.
Desert and mountain
Desert Foothills Events and Weddings is the one that looks most like Arizona: a rustic barn with saguaros around it. Gainey Ranch Golf Club pairs a manicured club with desert and mountain backdrops.
Modern rooms and the East Valley
The Boho Space is intimate and plant-filled with good natural light. Warehouse215 and monOrchid are central Phoenix choices for a city reception. Out in Mesa, Gather Estate is rated 4.9 from 660 Google reviews.
How five of them film
Geordie's at Wrigley Mansion. The mansion sits up on a hill, and the reason couples choose it is the view. For portraits that means a wide, open sky and, at the right time, the city below. We time the portrait walk to the table's golden hour and stay out until the sky turns.
Boojum Tree Hidden Gardens. Water features are lovely on camera and difficult for sound. A fountain a few feet from the ceremony will sit under every word of your vows. We put lavalier microphones on the officiant and one of you, and on the scout we listen for where the water is loudest.
Desert Foothills Events and Weddings. Open desert means open sky, which means no shade and, on some afternoons, wind and dust. Microphones get wind protection, and the ceremony waits for the sun to drop. The reward is that saguaros against a sunset sky are about as good as a wedding backdrop gets.
The Phoenician and Four Seasons. Large indoor rooms at resorts can be cavernous for sound. We record a feed from the DJ or band board for toasts, so the speeches do not sound like they were filmed from the back of a hall.
The Farm at South Mountain. Tree shade is a gift for an afternoon ceremony, but dappled light across faces is not. We look for the spot where the shade is even, and save the open-sun shots for golden hour.

What we would do
A March garden wedding at Boojum Tree: ceremony at 3:51, cocktail hour among the gardens, portraits at 6:03, sunset at 6:36, then the reception under the warm lights. Eight hours with The Reverie, including drone footage of the venue, covers getting ready through the first dances.
A November wedding at Desert Foothills: first look at 1:45, ceremony at 2:40, portraits among the saguaros at 4:49, sunset at 5:25, and a reception that starts after dark. Six hours with The Verse, or eight if you want the dancing.
